Solo exhibition from Unmarried Woman

Unmarried Woman is a self-taught oil painter from the UK, living in Berlin, with a particular interest in portrait painting.
The exhibition „Unmarried/Unmastered“ shows a selection of works from this series of oil paintings she has been working over the past two years, which explores the fascination with the negative connotations of the term “unmarried woman” and gives the title a new meaning by showing women in their various forms of self-empowerment. The women depicted play cherished roles in the local community, in music, art, sports and dance – celebrating the many faces of Berlin creatives, a group continuously supported by Fincan.
Outside of her identity as an artist, she works as an architect and a DJ under the name “Unmarried Woman” – roles which have tied into the inspiration for this collection of portraits.
